YanıtlaSilOur topic in last week is the education system of American universities.First of all,this reading text justified my opinion about the American universities.For example, I believe that America's universities and colleges are the envy of the world because of students in American universities must take a variety of courses in addition to courses in their major field.This property is an attractive opportunity for foreign students and when I read between lines 11-12,I associated with what I thought about American universities.In addition, this text consist of many information and details about in universities of American.When I read this reading text, I was bored and I found many differences between our university and American universities so I was demoralized.Moreover,if you are a student in American university, you can change your major when you want to and you can also change your school.On the other hand, in our country we don't have a chance like that.As a result,I realize that universities in America are really different ours.
Last week our topic was the system of American Universities.I learned different information about American universities and colleges.Many foreign students prefer these universities because there are a lot of advantages and opportunities.For example you can chance your major in there.It is very important opportunity .In my opinion,in Turkey, educational system should be like that.In the passage , author always mentioned about opportunities and advantages but american universities must be have some bad properties.Lastly,passage is too long and ı find it little bit boring.
YanıtlaSilWe read the passage about the 'pursuit of excellence in this week.I think it is interesting.People or students want to do something.For example;enter the university.However,they don't succeed it in their hometown.Sometimes opportunities aren't enough.Students go to abroad because of it.Generally,they prefer America to other countries for education.The reason is that American education system more flexible than other countries' education system.Students go to America from 193 different countries.For instance,39,600 students from China and 36,610 from Japan.These students think that they are more successful in America.There are lots of people speak about this topic.Briton Christopher Rick says 'America educates so many more people at university that one can't except all these who go to be either as well informed or intelligent as the much narrower band who go to English universities.On the other hand Diana says'In the U.S. educational system because it gives lots of chances for all of the students.

YanıtlaSilprograms in roughly equal numbers.''I totally agree this sentence,this is ''Smaller colleges are particularly attractive to foreign students because they are likely to offer direct contact with professors.''For example,If UTAA is very big university and it has a lot of campus,students won't feel close their teachers.I think that this passage was very long and it was hard to follow.
This week our text was about universities of the U.S.A and the author defended that the universities which is in U.S. are the best around the world. The text was boring because when I was reading it I felt that I was reading an advertisement. I am sure that American Universities are really good. According to survey, there are at least 6 American universities in the top ten universities around the world. But it is not implying that all universities in the U.S.A are good. In my opinion other countries also have good and inexpensive universities. In addition, the author said at the end of the text "demand a commensurate value for what they -or their parents- pay," likewise, I heard that universities which are in Turkey cannot be established in order to make profit. Therefore, we cannot say there is a country which only considers students' budgets.
YanıtlaSilOn the other hand, obviously the U.S.A is a one of the strongest countries of the world. Therefore, they should have a policy which provides surviving on their own. In my opinion this policy provides an educational opportunity to international students. If students went to the U.S.A, they might accept American customs and for this reason, people may forget about
their own traditions. I think it is a very clever idea which is named "brain drain." Finally anyone can't tell that they establish these schools for goodness. They are publicizing these universities for their own benefit.
Last week we read a text about the system of American universities. Actually I didn’t join a reading lesson. Because of this reason I read later. I think it was too long. In this text the author compared American universities and the other universities, and also he mentioned about some advantages of American universities. The text included many details. I learned a lot of information from the text. For example, American universities have different system from others. They have a lot of students who are from different countries. I think it is beneficial for students because they recognize foreign students and cultures and also students can change their major and their school in there. According to the text, teachers are very helpful for the students in the United States They always help their students individually. I think it is like in Turkey but if you are a student in Turkey, you cannot change your major or your university. As a result it was very informational and I enjoyed.

In the USA, all of the people who graduate from high school, study at universities.According to the passage 60% students attend college in United States,and 37% students attend college in Asia,and 78% students attend college in Europe.My favorite part was statistics.I dislike this passage because its too long and boring.In addition, this reading text made me realize the status of Turkey in the world. We learnt some details in this passage,such as the United States’ 3500 institutions were flooded with 39,600 students from China and 36,610 students from Japan. It was followed by India and Canada.On the other hand it said University which in America have many problem about facility especially financial.This problem should be solved.
YanıtlaSilActually,last week topic is the most significant one in my opinion because the author mention about education system especially education of America.There are many student to consider about abroad’s education system.In other words,education in other countries might have some important advantages for many students.However,some of the students don’t aware of these advantages.In this case,these reading metarial can teach them very effective things.For instance,this week’s text is related to education of America.Recently I have searched about education of America, but I was really surprised because many of the student in World want to go to America because of education system .Some of the features are experienced teachers,many different courses to participate,beneficial place which people can make experiment easily…etc.In addition, each year foreign people who are coming there to attend to university or college.In fact this situation also provided many helpful things to all students during the school time like communicating with each other.Put simply,if the student talk about something with his or her foreign friends,the student can improve your foreign language skill.Therefore,I consider about making a friend from another country especially girl because I believe that making a friend very effective to improve yourself

YanıtlaSilThis week, we talked about the education system of the U.S. universities.So,what we have learned about it? As I mention,I have learned substantial and explanatory informations about the education system in the American universities.We learned many various words from the reading text.For example,exams correspond to ‘Arbitur’ or ‘A levels’ , counterparts refers to ‘foreign college students’ ,secondary training refers to ‘high school’ , elite means that ‘first-class citizen’ or ‘previleged’ , jumping from department to department means that ‘changing majors’ and finally,all but impossible means that ‘almost impossible.’ The topic of the reading text of last week was boring because it was related about overkill of the education system of American universities.It was informative for us.The author compared about differences of between American universities,colleges and the others.‘Most European and Asian universities provide an elite service to a small and privileged clientele. While fully 60% of all U.S. high school graduates attend college at some point in their life,just 30% of the comparable German population,28% of the French,20% of the British and 37% of the Japanese proceed beyond high school.’It shows that the world’s best universities are in the U.S.A.On the other hand,this sentence amazed me so much.Because I don’t know how these things go.I learned that from reading text European secondary training is more difficult than American secondary training.In addition,if you are a student in European classes do not have to attend classes.But on the other hand,many American universities today are having financial problems.According to the reading text,‘if the financial crisis besetting U.S. campuses is mishandled,Americans may discover they don’t know what they’ve got until it’s gone.’ Education in the U.S. universities is more than the other universities.But there is a difference between the education system of U.S. universities and the education system of the Turkish universities such as educational costs.It is very expensive in American universities in accordance with to Turkey.To sum up,I’m bored with this reading text due to the length of the text.

We read and talked about American education system last week. The author gave some information about education of USA and he compared USA with other European and Asian countries. We learned that European and Asian students generally prefer American universities. Because American education system is more developed than other countries’ universities..Turkish government is looking to American system like a pattern. They are working to change education system but they can’t. In America, students have campus opportunities. Turkish students complain that but it is not important for education. To have a good education is more significant like in our university. American universities have financial problems but I think Turkish universities don’t have like that because there are many students in Turkey for paying money. Therefore, nowhere has a good education system exactly.
YanıtlaSil“The Pursuit of Excellence” was our topic at previous week. In the first paragraph of the passage the auothor mentioned about why the American Universities are different from the others.In my opinion American Universities are getting worse with rising costs.They are students not rich man or walking dolars.In spite of the high costs,American univerisities are still the most prefered universities in the world.We can understand that from the second paragraph of the passage.Author has backed up the numbers of the students who come from another countries to the U.S.A.In the third paragraph of the passage,author has compared the American universities with others about their quality of education.I think German universities are the best because what significant fort hem is their quality of education.Germans are very strict this issue.They are well organized and mistakes are not acceptable fort hem.In my opinion,being strictful is a very good way for dicipline.Once my teacher said to me”Little diciplines can lead you to big achievements.” Author also mentioned rights and democracy in this passage.In my opinion no one can be privileged and everyone can be have equal rights.It was really good long,an informative passage we learnt a lot of things from the passage
