  1. Topic of last week was The federal System of Government. In my opinion, this text was quite hard because there were a lot of unknown words and some of them sentences in text also too long therefore I don’t know exactly.Even though this things,I try to understand it.Eventually, after having read three time,I can understand it.In this text, the author tells us how did the government of the United States establish.Actually when the United States established, there are many colonials. As a matter of fact that these colonials didn’t have any meanning because ıf you don’t control accurately,it doesn’t provide helpful to you. Therefore, they assembled these clonials in order to decide fast and correct.Another part in text is the constitution.Constitution is one of the most important things for establishing of government because this constitution has provided to insure freedom of the citizens of United States.Besides,as the author say that ‘‘A government should have three major Powers:to make law, to carry out those laws, and to provide justice under law for the best interestsof the people’’I am favor of the idea because if you want to establish helpful government to citizens, you ought to have these power. In other word, government should have System of Checks and Balances, however In my opinion government of turkey has good form of administration. Also I can say that turkey is better than the United States for form of administration. Therefore ,I like my country law

  2. When I saw our text previous week, I got frustrated due to its length because it was 3 pages. But when I began to read, I enjoyed it. The text was composed of 3 parts which they gave information about United States' federal system and their laws. The first part of text told that there had been a weak government before U.S.A wasn't established. So, the first page implied that, there was a common wish which is a better government had to be worked out if the United States of America was to be strong and rich nation. In addition, at the end of the page there is extra information that is U.S are still governed today by the framework drown up that document over two hundred years ago. This information implied that American people are very resolute people because they still stick to their aim which was specified two hundred years ago. The second part of our text told how the Constitution should be. The author said that, the Constitution must be based on a "system of checks and balances." The third part of our text explains what the system of checks and balances is. I think this system is similar to our democratic system. As the writer said "a government ought to have three major powers: to make laws, to carry out those laws, and to provide justice under law for the best interests of people". Our system is just same as this and I believe that it is an ideal system for today. If only one power predominantly carried out all of these three tasks with no distribution at all, there wouldn't be any freedom in this country or in any other country. That I to say, for a more democratic country where there is justice for all individuals we definitely need this kind of a governing system.

  3. We read the passage about the federal system of government. The passage mentioned about government system of U.S.America fought against British domination in 1775.There was no central American government established by law. There was only Contiental Congress. After a year,U.S declared their fredoms in July 1776.Then,legal governments was established in the states to replace colonial rule. This condition shows that their self confidence. Then,it was necessary to establish overall government agreed to by the people and speaking for all the states. Also, there was no president. There was only a chairman. Also, there is a problem. They had no money. Therefore,it could not pay on army or a navy. After the end of the war in 1783,new nation worked a lot. Therefore U.S was be rich nation. Then,The Constitution was established. Also, balance of powers was established by The Constitution.American public was so brave. They gained their freedoms through the war. Then, they established their laws. Therefore, they were a model for all over the world. Now,people name superpower for U.S.

  6. That week, we read and talked about the federal system of government. That passage was really difficult and too long. I was bored while I was reading.I learned how did the United States become an independent country. The U.S. became independent in 1776. The system of checks and balances is very important for countries’ successes independences and futures. The three major powers: to make laws, to carry out those laws, and to provide justice under law for the best interests of the people. In my opinion, the passage was not interest me. I think the independence story is less impressive and interesting than Turkish’s independence story. However, I learned a lot of information about the United States. İt is a good thing of reading class.

  7. Last week we read a text about the federal system of government. In my opinion it was boring because I’m not interested in history and also the vocabulary was recondite and difficult .Actually when we were reading this text, I hadn’t understood at first. On the other hand I think it was informational. I hadn’t know much more things. When I read the passage, I learned first of all British people established a government in U.S.A and also I learned the system of checks and balances. My favourite part of passage is the system of checks and balances because it is about powers which to make laws, to carry out those laws and to provide justice under law for the best interests of the people and also it is about freedom because according to passage no one would become too powerful. I think freedom is really important. To sum up this passage was boring but it was benefical.
